Anyone get in off the waitlist?

Please share. I heard there was hardly any wait-list movement at most private schools? Should a friend of mine have any hope? Or is it over?

I'm kind of surprised at how little movement there seems to be since I know of several friends who released spots at one or more places. Some of the spots were released very very late. I would have assumed those schools would go to the waitlist but maybe they just overaccepted.

From the sounds of things on the playground, it's over. I have many friends (mostly of boys) in waitpools and only one of them got a call on Thursday. Additionally, there are several friends that were proactivley called by the Directors of Admissions where they were pushing hard to be told they would not be getting a spot.

However, I saw on another thread here that there can be movement later in the spring and into the summer as families actually have to move. Maybe it depends if your friend can hold out. It is heart wrenching to watch this unfold especially going through it with friends. Good luck!
