As the frenetic K admissions process kicks off in NYC, it may be helpful to have a look at The Kindergarten Shuffle (http://homepage.newschool.edu/%7Eat2k/kindergarten.html). The film is a docudrama that follows a mother and her friends through the public and private school process, including IQ tests and private school playdates.

Writer/Director Douglas Morse drew upon his experience applying to schools with his son Zeke, and the stories of several friends, to recreate the very difficult year of searching for the best kindergarten. He chose to share his knowledge in an informative and entertaining way mixing actors and non-actors in both fictional and documentary settings.

If you've seen the movie, what did you think?
