Hello!
I'm new to this group. I have 4-year old twins starting school next fall and wonder if anyone has any experience with St. Cecilia's and how hard it is to get into this school? Generally, we are not a Catholic family.
Thanks for any info!

Susan

From what I understand - if you are non-catholic, and applying to St. Cecilia's, you have a 50/50 shot, depending on the year and number of applications from the parish, etc. Since they have 2 classes/grade, they tend to be able to take a handful of kids from outside the parish and even some who are not catholic. Worth a shot, their tour schedule is up on the website and tours begin in October. Have you also considered St. Gabriel? Also in the sunset, 2 classes/grade and does admission on a rolling basis of first come first served. Finally, NDV is becoming so popular in the city because they do not serve a parish community (and the school is good). A diverse student body and several non-catholic families there. Might also be worth taking a look, their tours begin in September. Good luck!
