The Eric Dutt Eco Center, a greenhouse that bears the name of the beloved science teacher from Public School 6 on the upper East Side, was unveiled yesterday.

"That his name can live on like this is great," said Gina O'Keefe, a parent who worked to make Dutt's dream a reality.

It took four-plus years and about $2 million to build the Eco Center, which features an 800-square-foot greenhouse, an indoor and an outdoor classroom, a solar panel system and a wind turbine.

Dutt was only 34 when he died of an enlarged heart four years ago on his way back from a school field trip.
