After a great deal of difficulty finding a good school, it's pretty clear that 6th grade in her old school was 7th grade at this one.

Is there a way to skip a grade ?
If there isn't- I may just want to homeschool her !

Does the school have honors program or some sort of differentiation so your kid can stay challenged at school? Now that you have a school. why don't you talk to the principal on what the best options are?

They claim there is differentiation, but she's still in a classroom being taught things that were taught at her old school two years earlier. She was in a private school where everyone started in Kindergarten. Some of the kids in her class were not exceptionally smart, but with good teaching they kept up w the class. To me this means that SFUSD is content to move kids along very slowly. Very disturbing.

I guess I'll talk to the principal, but basically I need her in an honors program.
