Sister Anne Wachter leaving Convent?

I heard through the grapevine that Sister Anne Wachter is leaving Convent. Can somebody confirm? I knew the head of the Sacred Heart Schools was leaving but now Sister Anne Wachter too? What's going on with the turnover of the heads at the girls' schools?

Yes, that is true. The parents were notified of her stepping down. It will be an interesting time since the head of Sacred Heart schools is also retiring at the end of the year as you pointed out.

We're somewhat dismayed by her pending departure. She was one of the key reasons we loved Convent so much.

Anne Wachter, RSCJ, Head of Convent of the Sacred Heart Elementary School for the past twelve years and a member of the administration at the school for the past fifteen years, has announced that this will be her last year with us. Sister Wachter has been invited to explore positions as Head of School at our schools in Houston, Texas and Halifax, Nova Scotia and may also be a candidate at other Sacred Heart ministries. Sister Wachter has done an exceptional job in her roles as dean and then head at CES, and the Network schools are aware of this. We will miss her, but we respect her decision to look for new opportunities for growth and wish her well.

Preparations are underway to conduct a national search for Sister Wachter’s replacement. I will be working closely with CES and the wider community to put together the necessary committees and protocols to make the search a successful one. You will receive detailed information about the process shortly.

I know Sr.Wachter and she is moving to Halifax, Nova scotia, Canada. She is leaving convent and her substitute is angela taylor
