From NY Gifted Education Examiner (http://www.examiner.com/gifted-education-in-new-york/school-tours-dwight-admissions-2012) by Alina Adams:
In our quest to find the perfect school for our daughter, my husband and I attended an Open House for The Dwight School.

The biggest appeal to us of The Dwight School was that it boasted a truly international student body, as well as four international campuses (London, Vancouver Island, Beijing and Soul) with opportunities for travel abroad, and, most importantly, the IB (International Baccalaureate Program) starting in pre-school and running all the way up to 12th grade.

As we enter our sixth month of the school search process, I can confidently say that the group of parents at Dwight's Open House was the most diverse we'd seen to date. (However, many of them did appear to be there for the Middle and High School, not the Lower program.)

The school's chancellor, Stephen Spahn, spoke about Dwight's mission to find "The Spark of Genius" in every student, and the personalized learning it led to as a result.

The student body president, Sukret Puri, also spoke about the benefits of studying with a group of peers who came from all over the world and thus possessed truly divergent viewpoints, as well as managing to drop in how highly colleges think of the IB degree when it comes to Exmission time.

The school offers instruction in French, Spanish and Mandarin. All other languages are at the discretion of the parent body and whether they want to get together and have an afterschool program for which they hire their own teacher.
