Cutoff scores and maximum scores

Can you tell me what the cutoff scores (minimum scores) are for attaining a level 4 and level 3 for the ELA assessment and for attaining a level 4 and level 3 score for the math assessment? Can you also tell me what the maximum scores are for the ELA and math assessments? All questions relate to the April 2012 NY State 8th grade tests. Thank you!

You're asking for 8th grade, not 7th grade, right? Here are the numbers for 8th grade.

8th Grade ELA - Scale Score Ranges
Level 4: 699-790
Level 3: 658-698

8th Grade Math - Scale Score Ranges
Level 4: 704-775
Level 3: 674-703

My son missed the cut off for a "3" in the NYS 2012 ELA by one point. He is in 7th grade in NYC and will need a "3" in order to be looked at by high schools. How do I get someone to review the test again since the essay portions are subjective to who is reading them?
