What happens if I write a FC letter to a preschool and then turn it down?

We have a very good idea of what our first choice is right now. Just curious, what happens if I write a FC letter to a preschool and then turn it down later?

My experience was better than I imagined. I thought the DOA for our first choice was going to give me a tongue lashing but she was very gracious and understanding. I really explained our situation to her. DOAs understand circumstances change.

That said, I wouldn't try to game the first choice letter. You should be 99% sure you want to go to there with the 1% reserved for things you can't control.
