CPS to use parent report cards to help evaluate schools

From Chicago Sun-Times by David Roeder:
Chicago Public School officials are designing a “report card” for parents to help them evaluate each school’s performance.

A CPS official said Jean-Claude Brizard, the system’s chief executive officer, is gathering input from parents about what to include in the report card.

A mock-up shows that the system is aiming for easy-to-read charts that would cover graduation and attendance rates, school safety and the percentage of students working at grade level in reading and math, among other indicators. The report card would let parents compare their school with the prior year’s findings and with the system as a whole.

    Whatever sounds good I guess

So someone might actually care about what parents think about their school?

Who is going to pay for my family to move to the suburbs so my son can actually get an education?
