    NYC's top public elementary schools based on 2011 NY State ELA & Math Tests

    Last year, we created a ranking of NYC's top public elementary schools based on the 4th grade NY State Math & ELA test results.     Since some other people have asked, the % of PS 116 students that scored a Level 4 in math and ELA was 62.4% and 13.7%, respectively. The % of students that scored a Level 3 or 4 in math and ELA was 92.8% and 85.5%, respectively.

    Of course!

    PS 10 Magnet School for Math, Science & Technology was #152 overall and #45 in Brooklyn (last year it was #136 overall and #37 in Brooklyn). This year's math score was 696.3 (194th overall) vs. 698.1 (164th overall) last year. This year's ELA score was 681.6 (117th overall) vs 680.0 (119th overall) last year.

    The % of PS 10 students that scored a Level 4 in math and ELA was 33.3% and 3.4%, respectively. The % of students that scored a Level 3 or 4 in math and ELA was 76.2% and 69.0%, respectively.

    This is just for 4th grade. We chose to use 4th grade test results since they are used for middle school admissions.
