    Affordable tutoring

    Anyone know where I can find affordable tutors? My sons school referred us to an online tutoring site. Anyone tried it?

    The tutoring companies simply act as a referral service. You can bypass them and avoid their high fees by contacting the career services office at a nearby college that offers degree programs in early childhood, elementary school education, etc. You can then place a job posting for a tutor and interview as many candidates as you like before selecting one. There are plenty of undergrad and/or grad school education students who are interested in tutoring.
