The deadline to sign up for the upcoming Selective Enrollment High School (SEHS) admissions exam is approaching! The test will take place on November 23rd. The last day to sign up for that test date is November 9th.

To sign up for the November 23rd test, you will need an Eligibility Letter. If your child is enrolled in a Chicago public school or charter school and you did not receive an Eligibility Letter, please contact your child's counselor. If your child attends a non-CPS school, you will need to request an Eligibility Letter by submitting a Non-CPS Student Eligibility Letter Request Form (accessible at www.cpsoae.org - click 'Apply').

If your child takes the SEHS admissions exam on November 23rd, you will receive his/her test results before the application deadline on December 13th. That will enable you to calculate your child's total point score before you choose and rank the Selective Enrollment High Schools on your application. You may wish to compare your child's total score with the cutoff scores of the 10 Selective Enrollment High Schools for the 2013-2014 school year, while bearing in mind that those cutoff scores reflect the applicant pool for that year and should only be used as a guide. This year's scores will reflect this year's applicant pool.

After you have scheduled your child's SEHS admissions exam, be sure to click 'Apply' on the www.apply.cps.edu website and submit your application before December 13th.

Note that if you prefer to apply with a paper application, you may do so. After receiving your application, the Office of Access and Enrollment will schedule your test and notify you by mail of the date, time, and location.
