Private HS vs. Stuyvesant/ Bronx Sci

curious if you would consider public school if your child was admitted to either Stuy or Brx Sci?

Of course! There is a good handful of public schools that offer just as an impressive education as private high schools, and with much more occupational/economic/social diversity as well. All eight of the specialized high schools — especially Stuyvesant — are recommended, as well as some of the other highly selective HS that are not part of the eight. Look up college readiness rate and SAT/AP scores on the DOE website to see. By the way, two of the selective, non-specialized HS do not offer AP; but the top students graduate with an AA anyway.
