Exclamation Free College Experience at NYU for Middle School Students

We are excited to present to you a very special opportunity. On Saturday, April 20, 2019, the ElevatED Club at NYU will be holding our fourth STEAMFest!

    Who We Are:
ElevatED is a dedicated group of student volunteers at NYU who are pursuing degrees in business, science, technology, journalism, economics, education, and more! This year, we have expanded our teacher repertoire to include areas beyond the STEM field. STEAMFest is the culmination of our efforts to achieve two goals:

    1. To allow NYC middle school students to experience fun and interactive classes taught by college students.
    2. To allow members of ElevatED to teach and to interact with middle school students.

    What is STEAMFest
STEAMFest is similar to SPLASH events at other schools. By signing up on our website, you can create a schedule of four classes to attend, at the NYU Kimmel Building (60 Washington Square South, New York, NY 10012).

    How to Join
To sign up, please refer to our website: https://nyustemfest.altervista.org.

Registration is already open and is on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please be swift! There are only 100 spots for this year's event.

We hope that STEAMFest at NYU will be as successful as last year. Please join us in making this goal come to fruition. All information about the day can be found on the website, but here are some important quick facts:

    Details of the Event
    - The day will begin at 9:30 AM at the Kimmel Center for University Life (address: 60 Washington Square S, New York, NY 10012). Please arrive by 9:30 AM for check-in.
    - Students can choose up to four classes for the day, ending at 3:30 PM.
    - A free lunch will be served at 12 PM.

    Important note to parents:
    - Parents cannot stay with the students during the classes
    - For dismissal, we will ask parents to provide dismissal procedures on the sign-up form to ensure students are safely picked up

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us (Cyrus Tam / Dina Kim) via email, elevatedatnyu@gmail.com.

Hi QueensMom, thank you for your question. It is the fourth year we are hosting this event. Previously only targeted towards high schoolers, we decided to do a similar event but for middle schoolers this year. Please don't hesitate to email us at elevatedatnyu@gmail.com for any questions.
