Does anyone know if DOE will list full-time remote learning as an option for the 2020-2021 school year?

Nothing like that has leaked out from what I've seen. It seems that if it occurs at all, that it will probably be offered to the disenfranchised to choose that option first among a limited number of seats and/or a percentaged-out lottery within each school.

DOE hints they'll release some info in July. Dunno if they do that leading into July 4 weekend or not. They have no incentive but to delay providing the information for as long as possible creating its own trauma and drama.

DOE says sometimes in July meaning July 31. Even if they did have plans in place (and of course they don't!), they wouldn't release it going into a holiday weekend and have their phones blow up in protest. The DOE consultants will drag their feet and milk the city out of millions of more dollars to come up with a bad plan only to go back to the drawing board again before September.

BTW with indoor restaurant capability being postponed in the NY reopening phases, and the reason being provided, I'd use that as an indication where things are.

Today DeBlasio said schools will definitely open, with students being required to wear masks - I wonder how you all feel about masks in elementary school - I for one think it is a futile effort to make a 5 yr old wear a mast 7 -8 -10 hrs a day (depending if after school is even available).
