    Middle School Application Process 2022

    Anyone hear about what the DOE middle school application process will look like, in particular whether they intend to bring back screened applications? Thanks.

    The DOE is still completely mum about it.
    Passionate tutor of Elementary School subjects specializing in NY state tests, and the specialized high/middle school tests (SHSAT, Hunter, TACHS/CHSEE, ISEE, SSAT, ERB, ...)

    If DOE brings back screened MS admissions, don't expect it during the coming admissions cycle. I think MS screening will never come back and we'll be lucky to have screened HS admissions. Chancellor Porter will be gone when the next administration comes and any big changes (good or bad) will come from the next Chancellor. Expect admissions to be the same as last year across all grades; SHSAT administered at local MS, admissions to MS based on lottery, no in-person tours, centralized talent/art schools submission via online, etc.
