Remember SHSAT 9 is a superset of SHSAT 8, so you need to have mastered 8 as well!

Im not sure how accurate this is my son got a 505 and was placed in Brooklyn Latin, his first choice was Brooklyn Technical HS.

I’m not sure how credible this data is, but there’s a reddit thread where the minimum admitted score for Brooklyn Tech is recorded as 505 (563 for Stuy, 532 for HSMSE, and 524 for Bronx Science). Normally I would dismiss this as someone incorrectly reporting data, but we’ve had one parent on this thread already catch and correct the DOE mistakenly keeping their child out of a school even though she had a score that qualified based on what others reported here. It might make sense for you to email Enrollment just to clarify your score discrepancy.

I.S.187 Christa McAuliffe Brooklyn has one boy in 8th grade scored 680 and one girl scored 675 on the SHSAT. Also, I.S.227 has one girl scored 666. All three will be going to Stuyvesant High School.

My daughter is retaking this exam in December and she is interested in Bronx Science. What was the ninth-grade cutoff for last year at Bronx Science? Or were no seats available in tenth grade last year?
