For friend: excellent private high school for girl needing scholarship

Hi,
A family I know well has a wonderful eldest daughter starting 8th grade. Straight As and A+s, excels in sports, involved in many things, and lovely person, too. The family are hard-working immigrants from El Salvador (now citizens) and have very little financial resources.

We've started talking about finding an excellent private high school for their daughter and seeing if they can get a full or near-full scholarship.

What excellent high schools can you recommend in San Jose/Saratoga/Los Gatos/Santa Clara, etc.?
I've already given them info on Harker and Presentation.

How much farther north are they willing to travel? I would add Mitty to the list. If they don't mind commuting a bit further, they should look at St. Francis, Pinewood and Castilleja. Castilleja may be a bit far but is one of the best schools in Santa Clara County.
